2012 is nearly here and I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! 2011 has been a particulary difficult year for me with car crash injuries from February and the chance to buy a house in tatters, however the year also had some special events such as my dad and his wife's wedding, my nephews first birthday, my nieces first day at primary school and the creation of Charm-eleon!
It's been a great year for my food jewellery business with plenty of inspiration and lovely customer feedback, I really hope this continues and I cant wait to introduce a new collection in January!
As this is my final blog post before the new year, I thought I would share some of my favourite images on my iPhone from 2011 with you!
If you liked it then you should have put a food ring on it!
From diamonds and gold to beads, wood and stone, rings are one of the most precious gifts you could every receive or give to a loved one. However more recently they have taken a step further in the fashion world and what started as a personalised gift have been given a more unique touch with your favourite food.
Yes, that's right, no more ordinary white gold bands and glitzy diamonds, its all about sporting your fav starter, main and dessert on your finger nowadays and it seems even the celebs are loving this yummy new fashion!

* Handmade Christmas Jewellery At Charm-eleon *
From Christmas pudding bracelets and roast dinner rings, to mince pie earrings and seasonal red velvet cupcake necklaces, the collection has everything you could want from a stocking present for your teenage daughter, to a personalised gift for your Great Auntie!
The best thing about these gifts is they are all the delciousness of Christmas grub but without the guilty calories and there is nothing better than something handmade and special for your loved one!
The Charm-eleon handmade jewellery parties have also been flooding in and I've been traveling all around spending the evening with customers, eating nibbles, sipping on wine and sharing my love for what I do. I love hearing who the presents are being bought for, or receiving a bespoke order for someone who has decided to treat themselves to something special. Our roast dinner rings, gem bracelets and strawberry bracelets in particular have been snapped up very quickly and I find I am constantly making replacements of these for the next event.
Last night, at a Charm-eleon party in Worthing, one customer purchased our cream cake selection bracelet for her 75 year old grandmother (who had recently been told she is not allowed to eat anything sweet due to a medical condition). The gift was to cheer her up! How lovely! :)
This year I've asked for a cupcake maker, a very gorgeous New Look jumper, pair of Dorothy Perkin's boots and much needed makeup for my aging collection. It's definetly getting harder to choose and as you get older you realise how special Christmas was when you were little, especially now I get more excited about giving my young niece and nephews their presents than receiving my own.
What have you asked for this Christmas?

P.s if you would like to host your own Charm-eleon jewellery party then please get in touch. If you invite 5 or more people, you will receive a free gift!
Charm-eleon at Hurstpier Point Village Centre Craft Fayre!
Today Charm-eleon had a very successful day at Hurstpier Point Village Centre Craft Fayre!
There were lots of new goodies including our Halloween and Christmas collections on sale and along with selling our existing food Jewellery, we also had a few requests for bespoke products too including macaroon earrings and a heart donut ring!
It was a great day and the Charm-eleon stall was luckily placed next to a cupcake stand with amazing varieties that we munched on all day! Unfortunately we didn't win the raffle prize, but surrounded by all the amazing crafts that were there, we didn't mind too much :)
We have many more stalls to come this year so if you're interested in buying those Christmas presents and handmade jewellery for yourself without the delivery price tag, be sure to get in touch and let us know you want to come and see us.
Look our for our next blog post too, about the new collections available on our site very soon!

Happy Halloween!
Keeping It Personalised
We hope everyone enjoyed the few days in the sun?
It's been a very busy two weeks for Charm-eleon as we're getting ready to launch our Christmas collection, whilst still trying to create brand new products for our Halloween range! The Christmas products are coming along nicely though with mince pies, Christmas lollies, Christmas puds and chocolate logs all in the making, yum!
As these products are seasonal, there are only a limited amount, so if you see something you'd like to buy for someones prezzy (or as a treat to yourself) Don't forget to get your order in soon. It's great to create limited pieces as it keeps the products personal to you and means that your item is completely unique :)
Speaking of personalised items, we've just finished making a bespoke order for one of our customers and thought we'd share it with you.......
We love receiving bespoke orders and find new and unique ideas exciting! People enjoy wearing something they love and in this case Colman's mustard was the number one choice.
We love these mini pots of mustard what do you think?

Forget about tricks...we're all about the treats!
We're so excited that we thought we'd get ready for Halloween early this year by adding our products all the way up to October the 31st! From pumpkin earrings to miniature trick or treat necklaces, theres plenty of personalised jewellery items to get your hands on!
I've been making stock constantly lately and am starting to feel like a factory, but the end result is so cute it spurs me on to make the next. I love to look out for new ideas and was even imagining my jacket potato that I ate for lunch today sweetly hanging from the end of a chain (Although the tuna and mayo could be hard to recreate)
With jewellery that resembles food, you can never wear an outfit that it doesn't match (particulary if you build up a collection) You could wear coffee cup earrings to work, a cheeky chocolate fudge necklace on your date tonight and an iced gem bracelet to that festival at the weekend. The fashion possibilities are endless!
For Halloween, we're working on making you look the part. Our items may be cute and tasty as opposed to scaring onlookers, but we can't wait to use them as the perfect touch to our fancy dress outfits. Its beginning to get difficult thinking of food jewellery with this theme but next stop is Halloween lollypop earrings and scary looking cupcake necklaces.
Please note, we have limited stock of our Halloween jewellery products, so if you've got your eye on something, let us know.
We'd love to hear of any ideas you have for new Charm-eleon food jewellery or what you think of our products so far! Be sure to get in touch laura@charm-eleon.co.uk :) xx
The Launch Of Charm-eleon
With so many ideas and so little time, we're still creating our handmade jewellery stock as we write and will very soon be adding new pieces to the site for you all to enjoy! For now we'd love for you to have a look at and tell us what you think.
Thank you for visiting our blog and we look forward to announcing the winner of our Twitter competition and hearing any feedback you may have.
